Welcome to My World...

I'm Sarah, an advocate for nutrition, culinary arts, and maternal care.

My journey with wellness began at the University of the Free State, where I delved into the world of dietetics. Eager to make a direct impact on people's eating habits, I furthered my knowledge by completing a chef's course at Jackie Cameron School of Food and Wine. This dual expertise allowed me to not only understand nutrition but also craft delectable, health-conscious meals straight from the kitchen.


For over two fulfilling years, I served as the chef and dietitian at Brookdale Health Hydro, where I had the incredible opportunity to combine my culinary and nutritional insights, aiding individuals in their pursuit of wellness. After 2 and a half years I decided to leave the kitchen.


The turning point came with the beautiful arrival of our daughter in 2022. This life-changing experience introduced me to the challenges of breastfeeding, pushing me to delve deeper into this crucial aspect of maternal and infant health. While my dietetics education laid the foundation, the personal journey urged me to specialize in breastfeeding support, determined to assist other mothers facing similar hurdles. Every moment spent helping these mothers navigate their unique breastfeeding journeys fills me with utter joy and purpose.



I'm passionate about family, friends and the simple joys of life. Whether I'm outdoors hiking, taking leisurely walks, or just breathing in the fresh air, nature is my sanctuary! My home echoes with the pitter-patter of my 16-month-old's feet, accompanied by the energy of Josie, the Jack Russel and Izzy, the Labrador. While my days are currently filled with work and motherhood, I have a deep love for painting, this creative backseat has taken a backseat for now. But, with the promise of time on my side, I eagerly look forward to picking up my brush again.


I'm dedicated to guiding and supporting you in achieving your wellness goals, whether it's through breastfeeding assistance, nutrition or simply sharing in the journey toward a healthier, happier you. My blog will combine all 3, by sharing delicious recipes and writing evidenced based articles on breastfeeding and nutrition.
